In Connectedness and Separation – Pt.3 – For and Against, I wrote about how during my NDE, I was shown a teaching about the directional forces of “For” and “Against”. How we use both of those forces without knowledge in the definition of our perception, and how they directly affect our energy levels and our access to different versions of reality.
I also wrote about how “opinion and understanding” directly affect the forces of “For” and “Against”. They either help to remind us of our connectedness or hinder it by supporting the illusion of separation. Next I will show you what the being taught me about being open. As with any of the teachings that I have written about, they must be felt, not necessarily prescribed. The being delivered this teaching to me as a feeling.
The Open State of Being
The state of openness is a state that cannot be chased. The state of openness is a state of acceptance, a connected state, a state “For”. The state comes from the ability to be receptive to communication between our light being selves and the “all” in the spiritual plane. Openness is a state without blockage, a state without the force “Against”. This state of acceptance allows us to receive messages, signs, gifts of knowledge, joy, understanding, and more, which is in a constant flow from the source.
We can facilitate an environment for openness and acceptance using tools like nature, meditation, yoga, breathwork, sound therapy, etc. Ultimately, openness comes from our ability to reach human stillness – to lead with our internal light being, understanding circumstance, acceptance, and unifying with the spiritual plane.
The Closed State of Being
The closed state is a state of being that lacks acceptance. The closed state does not necessarily lack knowledge, it lacks understanding. A closed state fights, or creates motion in opposition to, “against”. The closed state does not understand that everything is “for” us. The focus of the closed state is towards ego based experiences and interactions, experiences and interactions of separation, not connectedness.
Anxiety, depression, racing thoughts, anger, sorrow, etc., are all forces that create motion and direction within us. Those motions take the mind to another place, outside of the present, and away from stillness. All of those motions represent the force “Against”. All of those forces create blockages. All of those forces create health issues. We must learn to let them pass.
Everything is “for” you. We cannot be open to receiving when we are creating forces of opposition. If we have anxiety, we must silence it by accepting “what is” in this current moment. Not the next moment, not in the future, the current moment. If we have depression, we must silence it by understanding that “we have the power”, to change our perception and in turn our reality. We must seek stillness within, if only for short periods. Find connectedness, work on the force “For”, and do not fall for the illusion of separation.
Stillness
For there to be a state of openness and reception, there must be stillness. Stillness must exist within our minds, and bodies. If you are currently living in the illusion of separation, and you are living with excessive energy loss from the forces of “Against”, then I would argue that you cannot be “open” and receptive. Try as you might, but you are creating a closed state consciously and subconsciously that will impede your progression. The force of “Against” creates motion, an opposing force. To be open, there cannot be an any force or motion, only stillness.
Tools and Resources for Stillness and Openness
All the tools and resources on this planet pale in comparison to what you currently have within you. I cannot stress that enough. Not the strongest hallucinogens, the best yoga, astrology, tarot, religion, etc., all of it is peanuts compared to what you are currently walking around with inside of you. If I could take just one thing from my NDE, and what the being on the other side showed me, it would be that you are so much more powerful than you know. All of the other human constructed tools, are training wheels and crutches. Master yourself and you will unlock potential you can only dream of.

Regarding hallucinogens and plant medicine: It’s popularity seems to only be increasing in recent months and I must state that I am neither for them or against them. I believe it is up to every individual to make their own decisions for their journey here on earth. However, I will state what I, and almost all other Near Death Experiencers have recognized – even the strongest hallucinogens and plant medicines do not begin to scratch the surface of the feeling and scope of reality you experience on the other side. I caution against using them heavily as a crutch to create openness and communication with the spiritual realm. If you have not mastered yourself here in this plane, you are only carrying those issues with you in trying to communicate with the spiritual plane. In turn those issues, yet to be mastered, may intensify back here in the human plane. Understand that you do not need hallucinogens or plant medicine, and you are not handicapped by not using them. Travel wisely.
Clairvoyance, Psychic Abilities
All humans have psychic abilities. Everyone on this planet has the ability to be clairvoyant, clairsentient, clairaudient, psychic, so to speak. Some of us are born with it ready to go, some of us go through a traumatic event that brings an ability to the forefront, and some people practice and develop their abilities throughout their lifetimes.
All psychic abilities rely on an open state of being, connectedness, the force “for”, and stillness within. It’s a simple idea, but might be harder to implement depending on where you are in your journey. Practice stillness in meditation, clear your mind from thought, and then listen intently. The communication will begin when you have reached true stillness. Psychic abilities are not superpowers, they are open states of being. I will do a series of more in-depth posts on clairvoyance and psychic abilities in the future.
The Takeaway
Open and closed states are something we run into every day as humans. The open state is a state of acceptance, a state “For”, and a state of connectedness. The closed state is a state that creates blockages, thrives in ego form, and supports the illusion of separation. Anxiety, depression, racing thoughts, anger, sorrow, etc. all thrive in a closed state of being. In order to find an open state of being, we must find stillness within. Meditation is our primary tool, and really the only tool we need. However, there are other tools that we can utilize to help bring us in touch with stillness. I would caution against dependent use of any tool and work towards mastering your inner self as to be able to find stillness at any point during your day. We are connected, we are light beings who thrive in an open state of being, and we are powerful beyond imagination. Embrace it.
