In The Human Experience – Pt.3 – Victimhood, I wrote about what the spiritual being taught me about victimhood. Why, as light beings, it isn’t possible to be a victim. I was taught what is most important, is to work through our painful situations, our suffering, and try our best to emotionally overcome our human response. Our circumstances are created for us to learn.
Next I will share with you why it is important to seek a spiritual awakening.
Awakening
When I returned to the human plane, I returned in a state of being that was completely opposite to the state I had embraced prior to my NDE. I returned “awakened“. I returned with a new understanding, a new set of eyes, a new perception of reality, a new version of reality, and an unexplained level of knowledge about the makeup of human existence.
The process of spiritual awakening can be a life-long journey. Sometimes it can happen suddenly, as in my case, from a traumatic life changing event. For some it takes many lifetimes to begin to understand what it means to become spiritually awakened. For others it can happen instantaneously. Everybody’s journey to spiritual awakening is different. If you begin to implement some of the teachings I’ve written so far, you will begin moving towards a “spiritual awakening“.
A “spiritual awakening” is defined as a profound, life-changing, and transformative experience that involves a heightened sense of awareness, a deep sense of connection with the universe or a higher power, and a shift in perception, of life and existence. A spiritual awakening creates a connection with the divine, a connection with a higher power, God, the universe, the all, etc. It creates a state of oneness, connectedness with all things. An awakening fosters a sense of compassion, empathy, and a desire to be of service to others.
Some people who become awakened, notice an increase in their intuitive abilities, having clearer insights, more vivid dreams, or a stronger sense of knowing, even clairsentience. In my case, it was all of the above, and more.
Living in the Awakened State
Living in a spiritually awakened state allows us to interact with the human plane from a spiritual perspective, a light being perspective. It frees us from the human ego that keeps us from truly learning and experiencing everything that happens “for us” in our lives.
Living in an “awakened state” allows us to receive more from life than we would otherwise. It allows us to see what has been created for us, and what we must overcome. Being truly awakened allows us see through all of the facades and conditions we create as humans. A spiritual awakening is what allows us to see behind the curtain of society, culture, religion, and human interactions. Mostly, a spiritual awakening grants us peace, understanding, and the ability to enjoy life to the fullest.
The Ego
The ego, is the humanness within us, the susceptible part of our human essence. The ego is what interacts with the human plane. The ego is developed from the time we are born. It consists of our human experiences, good and bad, our schooling, societal constructs, perceptions, emotional states, wants, desires, anguish, judgements, opinions, hate, etc., all that makes us “human”. The ego is our programmed state. It puts out what is put into it. Feed it junk and it will act accordingly.
In order to become spiritually awakened, our ego must die. When I physically died and went to the other side, what I felt, was a sense of wholeness that is unexplainable in human words. It is a sense of completeness and connectedness to everything, everywhere, all. What you realize, is that the freedom of that feeling, and the connectedness, is felt because your ego does not travel with you. It is gone. You are free from pain, fear, anguish, insecurity, all wants and desires, sadness, ill will, judgements, opinions, everything, related to the human constructed ego. It is the most incredible and beautiful feeling, and I find solace in the fact that I will feel it again some day. The ego is not our true self, the light being inside is our true self. The light being inside, is what is spiritually awake. Control the ego, and you master yourself and the world you live in.
If I could give you a gift, it would be freedom from your ego. The ego is heavy. The ego seeks to win, where we need to seek surrender. It seeks praise instead of giving it. The ego operates by passive and or aggressive force, instead of acceptance. The ego is about “me”, not about “them”. Many will say, we need the ego to navigate the human experience. After having a Near Death Experience, I know that the ego is what keeps you from navigating the human experience. The ego is what is keeping you from being spiritually awakened.
Conditionally Awakened
A “conditionally awakened” state, is a false state of spiritual awakening. Being “conditionally awakened“, is when we put conditions in place of being truly awakened. A “conditionally awakened” state, is when we have not truly let go of the ego, and we retain judgement.
For example:
- Person A: I believe I am truly awakened. I see the light being in all! I love everybody! Except, that group of *___________, or a person with *__________ opinion. (* insert race, religion, political affiliation, skin color, age, weight, gender, opinion, belief system, supporter, war, etc.)
Judgement is the absence of love. Judgement of other beings is nothing more than giving control to the ego. The ego loves to judge, to seek a dominant or supreme point of view. When we let the ego rule, we are blocking ourselves from feeling the fact that we are all one, all connected, all brothers and sisters, all here to learn. When the ego rules, we are supporting the illusion of separation from each other and the all. When the ego rules, we can not be awakened. Being “conditionally awakened” is not a state of being spiritually awakened. We either are spiritually awakened, and living it, or we are not.
Being “conditionally awakened” will lead to turmoil in your life. You will, consciously or subconsciously, spend energy trying to let your ego justify why one side of something is acceptable, and why the other side is not. The truth is, there are not any sides. Righteousness is for the ego. Being “conditionally awakened” will create an environment of anxiety within. Love is the only side you see when you become truly awakened.
The Upside and Downside of Awakening
A spiritual awakening means unplugging from all human created, societal constructs. When you are awakened, you can see through the facades of all the constructs that are in place to keep you from being awakened. I can only speak for my own experience but here are a few examples, there are many more:
- Politics – Useless, no value. It creates division, promotes separation, and creates a condition for opposing sides. A tool for manipulation. It serves no purpose in an awakened life.
- The “News” – Useless, no value. Sponsored content that creates fear and supports division and separation. A tool for manipulation. Understanding the idea of “acceptance” means, it doesn’t matter what happens.
- Professional Sports – Useless, no value. Creates a “friendly” atmosphere of opposition. It fosters judgement and is a tool for manipulation. It isn’t friendly and it creates rivals for no other reason than a team name.
- Pop Culture – Useless, no value. A feeding tool to garner acceptance of subject matter that would never be accepted if pop culture didn’t exist. It is a tool for manipulation that is probably the most egregious. We willingly surround ourselves with this programming 24/7.
The world is not set up for the awakened individual. Society is setup for the opposite, for division, judgement, and separation. It is setup for the ego. Ask yourself why. If society was setup for an awakened state, people would view life collectively, unified in understanding and love for one another.
A downside of awakening is that your relationships will change. Your old relationships are most likely based on ego driven commonalities, media inputs, shared causes, etc. and they will disappear if you awaken. The upside to awakening is that your new relationships will be based on depth of understanding and love. Another downside of awakening is that people will think you are weird, because you no longer buy into the tools of manipulation and separation. The upside, is that you gain time, wisdom, and happiness, by avoiding toxicity and granting yourself peace.
Why Bother?
Why bother with the headache of upending our lives to become awakened? The first reason is, because we have to do it anyway. Becoming spiritually awakened is the form we must reach to fully reintegrate with the all in the spiritual plane. Do it in this life, do it in the next, it doesn’t matter, but you have to reach a spiritually awakened state to stop coming back, and trying to reach a spiritually awakened state.
The second reason, is that you free yourself from the heaviness of what it means to live a human existence. You free yourself from the anxiety, the worry, the sadness, the suffering, and you grant yourself happiness in freedom. The choice is up to each of us, individually.
The Takeaway
It was communicated to me by the being on the other side, that if I chose to return to my body and my life, everything would change. What I didn’t realize was just how much everything would change. No part of my life has been left untouched. It is not easy being awakened. The world is not setup for this mindset, this way of living. But, I can promise you, from experience, it is the best way of living. Do your best to drop conditions, drop your judgement, and let your ego wither away. Live with love, unconditionally, and free yourself from the constraints of human existence. Operate from the real you, the light being within. You are more powerful, and more loving, than you know.
